One voice for Amnesty International

Introduction
In 2012, Amnesty International launched the One Voice campaign to mark its 50th anniversary, advocating for global justice and human rights. As part of the International Quorum of Motion Picture Producers (IQ), we collaborated with 30 filmmakers worldwide to create a powerful film. Narrated by the iconic Meryl Streep and featuring a score by Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, Inception), the campaign showcased stories from over 20 countries, delivering a unifying message of hope and resilience.

Our Role

We contributed regional human rights stories that authentically reflected local struggles and triumphs. By collaborating with a global team, we ensured our visuals aligned with Amnesty’s vision, blending our voice seamlessly into a universal narrative. This project highlighted the power of storytelling to engage diverse audiences and inspire change.

Impact

The One Voice campaign reached millions, amplifying Amnesty International’s mission to fight for human rights. The film’s emotional storytelling, bolstered by creative icons like Meryl Streep and Hans Zimmer, demonstrated how purpose-driven storytelling can inspire action and connect with audiences of all generations.

Takeaway
This campaign exemplified the impact of creative collaboration in advocacy. For us, it wasn’t just a project but a meaningful opportunity to contribute to a global movement for justice.
