Mumbai Eyewriter

A revolutionary invention
The EyeWriter project, led by Mick Ebeling and James Powderly, was a groundbreaking invention that enabled individuals with paralysis to create art using only their eyes. Recognized by Time Magazine as one of the 50 Best Inventions of 2010, it showcased the transformative power of technology to improve lives and restore creativity to those with severe physical impairments.

Bringing the Eyewriter to India

In 2010, we joined this innovative initiative at IIT Bombay’s TechFest, contributing to the development of "MumbaiWriter." Our role involved adapting the technology to suit local needs, sourcing affordable materials, and facilitating engaging demonstrations for Indian audiences. By collaborating with global pioneers, we helped make this revolutionary tool accessible to communities that needed it most.

Impact and Commitment
The MumbaiWriter sparked vital conversations about inclusivity and accessibility, proving how global collaboration and local adaptation can drive meaningful change. Our pro bono involvement reinforced our belief in amplifying innovations that inspire, connect, and improve lives, furthering the reach of assistive technologies to underserved communities.
